CURRENT MOON

dark of the Moon, or New Moon...

New Moons are power times for all of us. Each monthly New Moon is one of the best times to plant the seeds of new ideas, to initiate new
projects, and to break the ground for building whatever we want to manifest in our lives.

Following the dark of the New Moon is a particularly excellent time for writing down our intentions, goals, hopes and dreams (about 12 - 24 hours after the New Moon).

Remember: writing something down is one of the best ways to give it life. It is the act of germination, and gives our ideas their first blush of form in physical matter reality.

Do not underestimate the power of writing down what you want in your life at the New Moon as New Moon's plant the seed and give us new ideas, often opening new doors of opportunity.

0-45 New Phase

30- Semi sextile - narrowing of focus, direction

45 Semi square - {EG} conflict as desire for MORE emerges,

First Quarter Moon's are time to take ACTION. The intention of the NEW-ness of the Moon has festered and now you must act!

90 - Square - the need to initiate actions or forms before you can move forward

135 - Narcissism / Humility. The Soul has a newly realized intent.

The houses in which the Sun and Moon fall will show you where you need to make the push . For example if the Quarter Moon was in your sixth house it would be an excellent time to revise habits, and perhaps begin a nutritional regime or exercise routine.

Full Moon

180- 225 Full Phase

Social immersion/social withdrawal

180 -Social context must now be in place as integration of self and society progresses.

206 - Triseptile Co-operation with social order. Relativity must be realized.

210 - Inconjunct –Adjustments to personal and social limitations

216 - Bi quintile - Serving the collective thru refining special skills in relationship to the skill sets of others

Full Moons are about completion; of bringing to light information that may have been previously hidden or unavailable, and of concluding and/or actualizing what was initiated at the New Moon.

The Full Moon offers us the opportunity to honor both the Sun and Moon in ourselves--the masculine and feminine, or yin and yang we each carry within; to balance our will (Sun) and emotions (Moon), ditto for responsibility and inter-dependency, and for being receptive as well as directive.

Full Moons offers us: Awareness.
What a great gift! Maybe it's time to take stock of what our REAL needs are and determine if they're getting met.

270 - Deconditioning of the collective consensus must begin. The past achievements feel hollow as the Soul looks forward to a larger picture, and realizes the old structure isn't big enough to encompass all the beliefs necessary for a universal vision.

The phases of the moon are caused by the relative positions of the earth, sun, and moon. The moon goes around the earth, on average, in 27 days 7 hours 43 minutes.

The sun always illuminates the half of the moon facing the sun (except during lunar eclipses, when the moon passes thru the earth's shadow). When the sun and moon are on opposite sides of the earth, the moon appears "full" to us, a bright, round disk. When the moon is between the earth and the sun, it appears dark, a "new" moon. In between, the moon's illuminated surface appears to grow (wax) to full, then decreases (wanes) to the next new moon.

The edge of the shadow (the terminator) is always curved, being an oblique view of a circle, giving the moon its familiar crescent shape. Because the "horns" of the moon at the ends of the crescent are always facing away from the setting or rising sun, they always point upward in the sky. It is fun to watch for paintings and pictures which show an "impossible moon" with the horns pointed downwards.
