Weeks
of 23+30 Aug 2010
After decades of winters not cold enough long enough to knock their number down
enough in the Great White North, the pine beetle has so ravaged BC’s forests,
they are so prime for tinder. Smoke from hundreds of fires drift all the way to
Saskatchewan, and wildfire threat hangs over ¾ of the province. Doesn’t that
burn you up?
Along with Mercury turning retrograde Friday, giving rational people pause to
rethink what’s said and what they do, Neptune, the Magnifier, was at its closest
point to Mother Earth. Neptune, the Pest and the Irritant, points out
difficulties and problems, if not outright misleadings and deceptions.
The horribly optimistic NOAA report on the Gulf Disaster was not reviewed by
independent scientists after all. It’s horribly wrong. For one, there’s still a
plume of oil 35 kilometres long sitting a kilometre under the surface. BP
doesn’t care. It can boast a false report and cut off thousands of disaster
claims.
Too late, environmental reviews are now needed for deepwater oil drilling. Oil
Dealer Saudi Arabia supports religious fanatics but not Muslim flood victims.
The “timber mafia” made floods worse in Pakistan, that country ready to fall
apart. Niger is in a worse food crisis than 2005. Iran again plays the nuclear
Boogey Man. Undisclosed CIA 9/11 interrogation tapes were found under a desk.
Harper continues to silence critics. We don’t need a voice for veteran’s rights
or decent data for the census or lethal weapons to be registered, and the CRTC
should censor more. Zero Tolerance for a NY mosque distracts from the promised
drawdown of Iraqi troops. Obama’s “problem” is he was born to a Muslim father,
no matter what he says he is. Half a billion eggs are recalled by a factory farm
noted for “problems”. Gulf seafood needs more than a “smell test”. On and on the
litany goes for gazillions of “difficulties” nobody seems able or willing to do
much about.
And, if you can’t realistically do anything about the Boogey Man (Neptune) going
“Boo!” or the Spider’s Web ensnaring you into a hopeless tangle, what do you do?
Especially with Mercury saying it’s time to give the verbal and mental push a
rest, stop investing in tail-chasing. Give it up. Let it go. Take Time Out. So,
I am.
The Weeks of the 23rd and the 30th: Under the Full Moon Monday night, the 23rd,
the Sun gets worked up into a sweat, then gets mostly pacified, catching
personal pleasantries along its way to a very weak weekend. Then, somebody just
has to lose it.
In the background, the club-footed dance of the Giant Planets continues its
crush. Saturn split the socially-collecting forces of Jupiter-Uranus on the 8th.
Jupiter started its fight back opposing fading, restrictive Saturn last Monday,
the 16th. Thursday, the 26th, gives Jupiter the muscle to make (the adaptable)
or break (the stubborn).
Then, who knows? That’s not a wild and stupid guess. That’s the wild and stupid,
continually spaced-out, going-nowhere-in-particular-and-not-knowing-it condition
until Labour Day weekend. Then, the Labour is one of Love, appreciation of
Number One, and if not why not? Don’t you like yourself enough? Come on, have a
treat.

Monday - Wednesday, 23-25 August. (apogee Full Moon in Aquarius. The Sun in
Virgo aspects Mars, then Saturn / Jupiter-Uranus, then Venus / Mars. 0-2
Mutable, 15-17 Cardinal)
Well, it’s a start, enough shove to get things going, but where’s the support?
Who needs it? Everyone is here for themselves, selfish improvements, like a
workout at the gym, too sweaty and grotty for public exposure. This is for your
own good, to heck with the rest.
Thursday, 26 August. (Moon in late Pisces. Jupiter retrograde in Aries aspects
Saturn / Uranus. 1 Cardinal, 16 Fixed)
Giant Planet Complex. What Saturn got so twisted about on the 8th, Jupiter can
now unwind. A huge push is on to get things in Order, sorted out, rebuilt,
reorganised. Make no mistake, practical adjustments must be made or this breaks
into a thousand pieces.
Sunday, 29 August. (Moon in Taurus. The Sun in Virgo aspects retrograde Mercury
/ Neptune. 6 Mutable, 21 Cardinal)
If you don’t let this dribble out and ooze across the floor, it will splat and
splash in the worstest way, sticking slime to the walls, getting generally icky.
You don’t want this, no matter what the offer. Now, if a wink, a smile, a coy
come-on, that’s another matter.
Friday – Saturday, 3-4 September. (Moon in Cancer. Retrograde Mercury aligns
with the Sun, aspect Venus trine Neptune, Mars / Jupiter-Uranus. 10-12 and 25-27
degrees of All Signs)
Wonderful rewards for those daring enough for a radical makeover. Toss all the
old plans and ways, give this a real restart. Scrub deep, to the core, down to
your base. And, when you think you’re done, go at it some more. Why consider how
this looks or feels? It won’t be pretty or nice to get good at attractive. Sweet
roses need rich manure.
Sunday, 5 September. (Moon in Leo. Retrograde Mercury in Virgo aspects Mars. 8
Mutable, 23 Cardinal)
Ouch, like ripping the skin off, this hurts! Like eating crow, bones of
contention are not fun anymore. You are a dead duck staying in the middle of
this highway. To get ahead, step back, look for escapes, new paths. Win by not
fighting, staying open, very flexible.
(The Sun in Virgo aspects Venus, Uranus / Neptune. 13 Mutable, 28 Cardinal)
This bus has no driver, but the auto-pilot is pretty good. Nobody needs to
control a thing, so let it ride. Consciousness by committee of mindless
automatons, it’s a from-the-bottom-up thing. So, who’s that puppet at the
podium? Who holds the strings?
If you want the "horrible-scopes", go somewhere else. If you want the meaning
behind them, stay on.

16-18 August, 2010
Mon~Wed(the
Moon in late Scorpio, Sagittarius. The Sun in Leo aspects Mercury / Jupiter –
Uranus. 24-25 Fixed, 9-10 Cardinal)
If you want an agreement, an understanding, a connection that works well, a
contract that profits, you couldn’t ask for a better opportunity. Talk is cheap,
easy, easily agreeable.
(Jupiter retrograde in Aries opposed Saturn square Pluto. 2 Cardinal, 17 Fixed)
One straw may break a camel’s back. This is a bale dump, heavy and crushing, too
much too soon to easily deal with. Daddy Big Bucks is taking away what he thinks
is his, what he needs to survive, in his accustomed style of course, and the
rest will do without.
18-19 August,2010
Wed~Thurs
(Moon in late Sagittarius. Mars and Venus in Libra aspect Neptune. 12
Cardinal, 27 Fixed)
Like lost lovers, first you pine away, despairing, grieving, feeling torn and
tossed. Talk about imagination, hyper-sensitivity, overblown melodramatics.
Sheesh, gimme a break.
Friday, 20 August. (Moon in Capricorn, squaring an alignment of Venus and Mars.
13 Cardinal, 28 Fixed)
Ah, Sweet Lovers, here is your break. Guileless, guiltless, brazen and
unashamed, play to your heart’s content. Abandon yourself in the adventure.
Taste this to the full. Then, get a good rest and go at it again. The show is
yours to steal. Then, tuck it all away, leave no evidence Sunday. Oh, such
sorrow. Such love pined for, masked and secreted under the Full Moon, not to be
loosed and known again for the eternity of another week.
(The Sun in late Leo opposed Neptune. 27 Fixed, 13 Cardinal)
Oh,
Neptune, you are such a Tease. But,
that is part of the seduction, the fascination, the appeal to what you can’t
have, what isn’t real. What a wonderful world of pretend and posture, great for
the box office. Did you pay much for that ticket?
(Mercury
turns retrograde in Virgo. 19 Mutable, 4 Fixed)
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. Oh, we did? Then, we’ll have to take
something back. But, to where? That place doesn’t exist anymore. This retrograde
will sweep many an antiquated tome from your library. Think again, big time!

Each forecast shows: the Moon Sign, the Planetary Aspect, and Numbers of degrees
in Signs for the Planetary Aspect.
The Moon Sign is the Sign the Moon is in for that day. The Moon Sign gives
advantage to the Sign it is in, puts extra pressure on the opposite Sign, and
tends to cross up or neutralise the Signs at right angles. For example, with
Fixed Signs, if the Moon is in Taurus, Taurus has the advantage, Scorpio gets
challenged, and Leo and Aquarius get shifted or crossed up.
The Planetary Aspect is where action is released. It's the Excuse. Unlike daily
Horoscopes that suggest each day has the same level of influence, this is the
core of changes in the daily energies.
The Sign Numbers are the degrees in the Signs of the Zodiac being emphasised. If
the degree for any day is close to any degree of Your Four Personal Points (see
below), within a degree or so, THIS IS YOUR DAY. Pay extra ATTENTION.
You may have several days in the week activated for you, or you may have none.
As a degree hits one of Your Four Personal Points, the forecast tells about the
important things in your life. The daily forecasts tell you when. The overall
story comes through over time. Sooner or later, the degrees of the Forecast
catch up to all Your Points.
Your Four Personal Points are, in order of importance:
The Ascendant, the Mid-heaven, the Moon, and the Sun.
These are the most important Points of your Horoscope, calculated from your
birth date, your birth-place, and the time of day you drew your first breath.
The first two Personal Points, the Ascendant and Mid-heaven, are the points that
fix the Earth in space for your birth time at your specific birth place. We live
on the Earth, not the Sun or the Moon. The Ascendant, also called Your Rising
Sign, is more important than your Sun Sign.
Simply, and generally only, forecasts that affect your:
Ascendant relate to matters in your environment. Use it to see what's in your
"face".
Mid-heaven relate to matters in your personal life. Use it to see what's in your
mind.
Moon relate to matters in your emotional life. Use it to see what's in your
heart.
Sun relate to matters in your physical life. Use it to see what's in your core.
The Signs of the Zodiac are:
Card: Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)
Fix: Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
Mut: Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)
Heaven, Help Us! The forecast is the mood of the moment.
When it rains, we all get wet, no matter what "Sign" we are.
